NVIDIA nForce 780i SLI tested

Hardspell had just unveiled some benchmarks of the newest chipset from NVIDIA, the nForce 780i SLI. It features 3-way SLI with special 3-way bridge. This chipset is basically only an upgraded version of 680i SLI plus as you can see from the images below.

The overclocking ability is almost comparable to that of P35.

And as you can see below, some benchmarks reveal the performance isn't quite astonishing as it should be. It performs almost identical to the older brother 680i SLI.

The 3-way SLI isn't a unique feature. in fact 680i SLI will also have the same feature. Let's see how well it will compete against 680i and the upcoming 790i SLI that supports DDR3 in Q1 08.
