System Stability Tester 0.7.3

By ascetic - Posted on 16 November 2007

System Stability Tester is a RAM/CPU burning and benchmarking program. It calculates the Pi using the Borwein algorithm with two or more threads. Basically it does the same thing as Super Pi, but with more advanced options on multicore processors. A really nice alternative from the old school Super Pi.

New in this release:

  • A serious memory leak fixed.
  • Configure script now checks for GMP>=3.1 and QT>=3.3.
  • Makefile now can use the PREFIX environment variable to install the binary.
  • The number of active cpus/cores is reported.
  • Support for x86 Solaris 10.

Hi,

Really interested in getting it but it looks so complicated, was never good at overclocking, if you find a second, could you please point me to some tutorials or maybe make a post about some basic overclocking tutorials for Vista users, possibly low-risk overclocking as I can't risk damaging my machine.

Very useful and powerful software.

Nice one, its a very good utility, as i was getting too many system errors, it proved of great use to me.

Its looks like a promising and very useful tool and looking at the preview it looks like it a bit difficult to use this program.. but i will surely give it a try !

Would like to use this masterpiece. Any other users who had success with this one?

I also use it :O)

Very useful and powerful software .

This is something pretty new for me and I have never read it before. I'll be checking it right away. I often check my system's performance via Windows task manager. I don't know how effective it would be but I always test new utilities.
